Pikadish

For counter-service restaurants

Your queue orders before it reaches the till.

Customers scan a QR code while they wait and get a suggested order that fits their party, their diets and allergies, and their budget. At the counter your staff type a short code, key it into your POS and tap Confirm.

Free during your trial. No new hardware and no POS integration.

How it works

Your customers do the deciding in the queue. Your staff do what they already do: take payment on your POS.

  1. 1

    Customers scan while they queue

A QR poster where the queue starts. No app to download and no account needed.

  2. 2

    Customers get a suggested order

Four quick questions: party size and kids, what they feel like, budget, and dietary needs. They get combos to pick from, with alternatives and your specials.

  3. 3

Your staff confirm it at the till

Staff scan or type a four-character code, key the items into your own POS, take payment and tap Confirm. Any allergies show in a banner that never leaves the screen.

One order, from the queue to your till

  1. The store’s welcome screen on a phone, with today’s special and a Help me choose button.
1The customer scans your QR code and sees today’s special.
  2. The last of four questions, dietary needs and allergies, with Peanuts selected.
2Four quick questions: party, tastes, budget, diets and allergies.
  3. Suggested combos for two adults and a kid, each dish with its photo and an indicative total.
3Combos that fit the whole party, with alternatives.
  4. The Add drinks screen, offering drinks with photos and prices, and the order’s allergy shown.
4A drink for everyone, offered before they review.
  5. The order code screen: a four-character code, a QR code, the allergy and the order lines.
5A code to show at the counter.
  1. The counter’s order view on a tablet: a red allergy banner, the dishes by category and a green Paid, confirm button.
6Staff type or scan the code. The allergy banner never leaves the screen while they key it into your POS.
  2. The counter back on the scan screen, with the next orders waiting and a toast confirming the last one, with Undo.
7Paid and confirmed, with 10 seconds to undo. On to the next customer.

Built for the lunch rush

  • A faster queue

Customers reach the till already decided. No reading the board and no “what’s good here?” while the line waits.

  • Your specials, on every order

Today’s specials and the dishes you boost, for margin or to move stock, are steered into the suggestions.

  • Fewer allergy questions

Suggestions are filtered by allergens, diets and budget, and your staff see every allergy on the order. We never claim a dish is free of anything.

  • Nothing new to install

Use any phone or tablet you already have at the counter. No POS integration, and nothing is ever sent to your kitchen.

Reports you can check against your POS

See how the app is doing for you every day, and check every charge before you pay it.

Sample data: a made-up store, month and price

A monthly statement: billable and credited orders, the price per order and the total, then each order with its code, time and receipt number, one of them credited.
The monthly statement lists every charge with its order code, time and receipt number. Flag a line you don’t recognise and it’s credited.
The Today page: orders confirmed today, the average order, the average counter time and cancellations.
Today: confirmed orders, the average order and how long each one takes at the counter.
The daily summary email with the day’s confirmed orders, average order, counter time and cancellations.
The same figures by email every day.

Two plans. You pay only for real orders.

Start with a free trial. Billing always errs in your favour: if we can't show an order happened, you don't pay for it.

Pro

Premium

Everything in Basic, plus:

  • Premium Welcome. Your brand colour on the buttons and accents of your customer screens, and a larger cover photo.
  • Upsell report. What your specials, boosted dishes and prompts added to your orders.
  • Dessert prompt. An “Add dessert?” screen before Review, showing only desserts that suit the order’s allergies and diets.
  • Menu-gap insights. Where customers found nothing that fit their diet, allergies or budget, and when, counted anonymously.
  • Multi-store tools. Every store’s menu side by side, and a price, special or sold-out mark changed at several stores at once.
  • Dayparts. Different dishes and specials for breakfast, lunch and dinner: customers see only what you serve now.

Coming to Pro

Not built yet, and no dates. Each joins Pro when it ships.

  • LoyaltyUpcoming

Rewards that bring regular customers back.

  • TranslationsUpcoming

Your customer screens in more languages.

Pro starts as soon as you choose it, with a 30-day minimum. After that, switch back to Basic whenever you like.

Priced per confirmed order

Each plan has a small price per order, and you only pay for orders your staff confirm at the counter. Orders that never reach the till cost nothing, and any line you flag on your statement is credited, no questions asked. Switching features off never changes the price. Ask us for current prices.

  • Your trial is free, with every Pro feature on. It ends on Basic unless you choose Pro.
  • Upgrade whenever you like. Pro has a 30-day minimum, then you can switch back at any time.
  • If you pay for Pro and don’t use it, we’ll tell you, and show what Basic would have saved.
  • Your plan covers every store in your business, and you can switch features off per store.
